MATE User Admin missing from the ecosystem

I've installed 26.1 and am testing it. I've selected the MATE desktop version.

There is no MATE User Admin in the base system nor in the Software store. This program is essential to add/modify users on the system without resorting to the command line. I needed to add myself to a supplemental group 'vboxusers' to run VirtualBox as but one example.

I may wish to create another user for my wife's use.

The MATE User Admin never got ported because it is too tied to Linux. I am planning to add a GUI tool for that.

You can use sudo adduser in the terminal.

Understood; however, I'm trying to evaluate this project as something I can promote to my group of normies who are frustrated with Windows. We cannot expect them to use the command line. I've been Unix since 1985 with SCO.

Do we have graphical tools under XFCE? It appears that the XFCE desktop is prettier than MATE as well.

I'm new to this forum. I've deployed thousands of Linux servers in the field since 1995. I migrated to FreeBSD for servers about 10 years ago. I prefer it.

I'm using the Xfce version trouble-free. Adding a User and editing privileges is done in a nice GUI on Xfce.
