Hover your mouse cursor over an empty portion of your screen.
Press the left mouse button.
Select Change Desktop Background.
Select Background tab.
Select Colors and set to Solid color.
The box to the left of the setting is a box, select that.
You should see a menu appear which allows you to pick a color.
Choose a color and press Select.
