After a 3 years of using linux i finally made decision to install this OS. I informed myself before, to what im getting into..and things that attracted me was 1. Stability, 2.Best BSD experience for begginers. And i wasnt wrong. Still, i configured it for 8 hours to get it working π. I am happy with this OS. It serve me well for everyday task.
P.S. I never installed OS before at such ease as this oneπ Installer is super easy.
Suggestions: It is basically stuff that i didnt got running so:
- OSS dosent work on my rear speakers (only front one aka headphones) so i would suggest to look into that.
- Include more DE iso/s, at least KDE iso. And currently when KDE is installed, it would be nice to have kdes sddm, instead of mate login screen.
- It would be nice to have discord/spotify as standalone apps. (if possible)
- Make proton more compatible with BSD..if possible (im not a big gamer, but it would be nice to have an option to run games sometime)
- Mouse Pointer isnt picking the same refresh rate as monitor on (Nvidia rtx 2060 (Turin)) so it moves laggy like in lower hz. I manually fixed it, but more polished stuff out of the box would be nice.
That are things that i ran into. All in all GhostBSD is a great OS, with a lot of potential. I just red about it and waited till two days ago, to give it a go..Whatever you improve further, it will be a big deal for GhostBSD.
