PACMAN, the Arch Linux Package Manager?

If I download this, will it work as a replacement for Software Station? IMO, it is easier & would be a good replacement.

RodMyers Thought so, just odd I found it to download. I thought someone redid it for xBSD. Any others besides Software Station I can use? Plus why would it be avail for Download, when you can't use it?

nothing, at the moment, can replace Software Station. I think @ericbsd wants to work on a replacement, but not entirely sure.

It's in the ports tree, so it MAY work for FreeBSD? not sure how it would need to be configured properly.

Like portsnap (I think). @ericbsd has GhostBSD ports tree modified to work with the GhostBSD repos, NOT freebsd. You will hose your system using the incorrect .

Not saying that is the case, but no idea where pacman would pull from

RodMyers Ok, thought the source could be changed, but I can't code. So I wasn't sure. One uestion, why is it in the Software Station???

I wouldn't get too caught up in making pacman work on GhostBSD. Replacing or enhancing pkg is needed beforehand, and it is something that FreeBSD devs have not prioritized.

vimanuelt Kind of odd, why is it on the Software Station? It would be nice for it to get a new better look, the way it works, it needs to auto download dependencies too. I think CA & CO are going to require Age Verification in Linux. Might expamd into spyware like Windows.
