Another Flawless Update

This is just to say thanks to @ericbsd and the team for another perfect, flawless update yesterday. Updates always made me a little nervous in Linux. especially kernel "upgrades." Now I update fearlessly, thanks to the team here and at FreeBSD.

Restarting after today's update won't produce the login screen. So I went back to the last BE and tried that, same result. Is there another option I can choose at boot to log in?

The update before today wiped away LibreOffice and GIMP, but reinstalling them was no issue and I lost no data. So it's surprising to have an update just up and cripple the login.

Robin I missed that. If it is not a new Discusion I will not see it. What is your X11 Xorg or XLibre?

What did you see when you booted? Is it a shell or a blank screen?

It boots up, and the last prompt is Login:Robin then it goes to a blank screen. startx has no effect. I installed XLibre but I did not remove Xorg because it would take a bunch of other stuff with it. I suspect I had a mixture of both which I imagine is part of the problem. I plan to wait for the next release - which I believe is to be XLibre - and try again when it is released.

Not removing Xorg will cause issues. You have to remove it or stay with Xorg.

Understood. I'm quite unsure of myself when it comes to the dreaded ▄︻デt̷e̷r̷m̷i̷n̷a̷l̷══━一 so I'd best wait for 26.
