New to GhostBsd, couple of queries

Currently Linux user, eying up fully installing GhostBsd I'm just testing a live usb at this moment.

Impressed with performance on the live usb, so potentially a full installation will be very quick and efficient. There are only two things I need which are causing concern at this moment.

1) I'm used to using NordVpn via the command line in Linux, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do this on GhostBsd. From research it seems I have to use openvpn, but I tried this on the live installation, carefully following the instructions but it didn't work the three times I tried it. I will keep trying, I don't give up that easily.

2) I keep my important data on a separate 10 tb HDD, whereas the OS and apps are on an nvme. I keep the data synchronised to an external 10tb HDD using FreeFileSync. Again it seems this app is unavailable in GhostBsd, so it seems I will either have to learn how to use rsync or syncthing.

Nothing that can't be overcome and as always I look forward to a new challenge in fully installing GhostBsd and getting it to work to my needs.

Rsync, look at using gui app grsync to be helpful. OpenVPN, share back commands and config files that you use. I am unfamiliar with using a VPN. I could ask Grok and share with you.
check that your are using the correct credentials for the service, not the Nord login
user name. you did try 3 times before.
Note down your Service credentials (username and password). These are different from your regular NordVPN login — use these for OpenVPN authentication.

Thanks, very helpful. I'll have a go at what you suggest but it will have to be at some point over the weekend. But I'll certainly let you know how I get on.

Now got NordVpn working, onwards and upwards ! Again thanks very much for the advice, now got a couple of other things to sort out - all good fun!
