So what's your thought on it? This vid makes some good points& why does every DE/compositor handle it differently? I mean mutiple DE distroes suffer, apps have to be a version for each DE. Not sure why the devs did this. Plus, Nvidia, make a settings app. you had a couple of years!!! I just hope you guys stay awy.

When it comes to Wayland, I never understood the need for it with GhostBSD. I never looked to make it work with MATE. It is not yet supported on the MATE side.

For GhostBSD, I think the only way it could happen is if all becomes the only option to have proper driver support.

That said, if the majority of the community wants Wayland, that is another story. The project will go with the majority of its users, but not force it on everyone.

ericbsd It just has no way to adjust gamma or contrast, BTW how do I in GBSD?

There are many ways to do it, but GhostBSD does not come with a default tool for that. The simpler option is Xrandr, but it is a command-line tool.

Can you rephrase your question? I'm not sure what you are asking.

Just do it the same way openmandriva does it
One iso for wayland and one for X11

Let the users decide which iso to download instead of causing a divide by letting one group outvote the other
It's never a good idea to force a system wide change on everyone even people who spoke out against wayland being the main option

Having an iso for wayland and one for X11/Xlibre lets the users decide whats best for them instead of people like me deciding whats best for them which i dislike doing personally

My setup is not yours and i'm completely fine with that

ericbsd I think they are trying to ask if Nvidia drivers on BSD have a GUI for changing settings
