Many BSD users tend to be in the over-40 demographic, so accessibility should be considered a core usability feature rather than an optional extra. Adding accessibility support for visually impaired or aging users would go a long way toward improving Qtile’s inclusiveness and day-to-day comfort.
At the moment, the menu bar appears very small on large or high-resolution displays, which can make it difficult to read or interact with. Providing an easy, built-in way to enlarge interface elements, such as a “UI Scale” or “Accessibility Mode” toggle, would make a noticeable difference in usability.
Expecting users to manually edit configuration files to adjust visual scaling isn’t very approachable and may discourage adoption, especially among those who aren’t comfortable editing Python configs. A simple in-UI option or quick keyboard shortcut would make Qtile more accessible and user-friendly for a broader audience.
