Realtek RTL8812BU TP-Link Archer T3U Plus AC1300 Wifi not working

Hello All, just joined the forum. I searched the new forum for this topic but wasn't able to find anything related to this. I did find a forum post on FreeBSD from 2018 that said the chipset was not supported. Is this still true? Let me know if there are any drivers or if I am better off buying a new wifi dongle.

The TP-Link Archer T3U Plus AC1300 (RTL8812BU) is not currently supported on FreeBSD, as no native driver is available for its chipset. A practical alternative is to use a USB Wi-Fi adapter that incorporates a chipset known to be compatible with FreeBSD.

For advanced users, wifibox may offer an experimental solution on GhostBSD by enabling limited support for certain Linux-only Wi-Fi drivers through a containerized environment. However, the most straightforward and reliable approach remains using a natively supported USB Wi-Fi adapter, such as one based on the Atheros AR9271 (urtwn) or Realtek RTL8188CUS (rtwn) chipset.
