I booted GhostBSD from an usb stick to see if it worked. My cam, sound, videos, printer were all working fine. But I couldn't find any scanning app for my HP Deskjet 2540. Does scanning work with GhostBSD? Thank you.

By default? No.. Not enough space on the DVD for every program, so a line had to be drawn.

After install, then yes. Software Station is where to search and install applications
