It comes by default in GhostBSD, as you can see here: https://github.com/ghostbsd/ghostbsd-build/blob/master/packages/common. This makes me wonder why you would come to a GhostBSD forum to ask for help with a FreeBSD issue rather than a GhostBSD one. You are not the first to do so. In fact, your situation reinforces the case I submitted to the FreeBSD Foundation regarding the quality of FreeBSD support. :-)

I have no idea what you mean by that; I installed GhostBSD and thus assume I am dealing with issues concerning that fresh GhostBSD install. Did I miss something somewhere?

I apologize. I can be wrong, especially at 3:00 AM after a long night of project work. One of the developers should add the fusefs-ntfs package to the common file, and that should resolve the issue. As I mentioned earlier, if something is not working properly or if a feature seems missing, the best thing we can do is be proactive: file bug reports or feature requests as needed. Posting here is helpful for discussion, but it does not guarantee action. Changes are handled through GitHub.

After automount was removed from the default install, all missing packages related to NTFS and EXT4 were not installed. GVFS does not install those by default.
