In Linux I got used to regressions and breakage caused by an update. Especially updates to the kernel, which happened a lot in my distro.
I'm pleased to report that my first update since installing GhostBSD two weeks ago was, for me, the "acid test" of this OS. It required two reboots, with more updates to do after the first reboot, and one minor issue after the second update (which also required a reboot):
The ungoogled-chromium browser disappeared from Plank (which I use instead of the usual xfce panel to keep launchers and widgets on). I simply dragged it's icon from the Applications menu to it's former spot on the dock and dropped it there. Done.
Thanks to @ericbsd for a near-flawless upgrade of the entire system, effortlessly accomplished. One little question though: Updates used to require the root password. This time I clicked on the notification and it went right away to fetching and applying the updates without a password. Is that a feature or a bug?
Many thanks again,
Robin
