Themes: difficult to read

in day mode
in night mode
in automatic mode.

I could use an extension to make things legible, but I'd prefer to have alternative themes available.

Is this possible with Flarum?

I agree, the default syntax highlighting colour scheme is really hard to read. It doesn't seem to match the syntax for shell scripting anyway, so the colour of the words is quite random and distracting for reading.

I wonder if the syntax highlighting could be disabled across the site, or a more appropriate default syntax highlighter used?

Yes. If read the forum using an Android phone or tablet, then you can install Stylus to control the theme.

Also, the admin can modify the styles directly in the Flarum admin panel (Appearance > Custom Styles).
