Yes, I have an extension, h254ify, which forces both 30fps and mp4 format videos on a lot of video websites. This was working very well for the past year until I recently applied the Sept updates. I am using librewolf 153.0.1-1 and firefox 155.0.1. However; I have another update. It now appears that firefox with the h264ify extension is working for me again. Librewolf and the extension still appear to be broken. It produces and error in youtube - "Your browser can't play this video" when I restrict it to h264. A "learn more" link takes me to a page that says, "Your browser IS up to date. You can use YouTube's latest features."
I tried digging on this a bit and the only references to the behavior I am seeing that kinda made sense on users with the issue in the past said there may have been a mismatch with ffmeg. I am showing version 9.0.1 built with clang v 19.1.7 From my experience at this point it seems isolated to librewolf and h264 videos.
Just to state the obvious, I am trying to rely on Intel hardware acceleration on my cpu/graphics - I have all the libva parts loaded for that and it is still working fine for other programs that can leverage it - ie. vlc, mpv, and now firefox again.
My OS version info is: FreeBSD 15.0-RELEASE-p13 n230765-65e896a6c619 GENERIC amd64
Please let me know what I can do to help resolve this issue - it is probably limited to those like me that are leveraging video hardware acceleration and restrictions to h264 codec.
