ASUS Zen AIO all in one and nvidia
Re: ASUS Zen AIO all in one and nvidia
You will need to setup one of your graphic card its probably trying to load mesa. Is the screen go blank?
Re: ASUS Zen AIO all in one and nvidia
no when Itry to install it reboots but no desktop it runs like a terminal with a load of info and it stops at /usr/something/somethingericbsd wrote:You will need to setup one of your graphic card its probably trying to load mesa. Is the screen go blank?
Re: ASUS Zen AIO all in one and nvidia
Does that mean that you can run the live system and do an installation but when that is complete and you reboot it will not enter the graphical environment and leave you with the console?rbrick49 wrote:no when Itry to install it reboots but no desktop it runs like a terminal with a load of info and it stops at /usr/something/somethingericbsd wrote:You will need to setup one of your graphic card its probably trying to load mesa. Re: ASUS Zen AIO all in one and nvidia
Ok. What graphics option did you chose for the installation (like Auto detect, Intel, ...)? And could you login on the console and try to run this:rbrick49 wrote:yes exactly thats what it does
Code: Select all
Xorg -configure

ok I will give that a shotkraileth wrote:Ok. What graphics option did you chose for the installation (like Auto detect, Intel, ...)? And could you login on the console and try to run this:rbrick49 wrote:yes exactly thats what it does
This will attempt to automatically figure out how to configure your hardware and write a new configuration for X11. Does it successfully write one (it should tell you where it put it in this case) or does it fail?Code: Select all
Xorg -configure
Re: ASUS Zen AIO all in one and nvidia
it failed no luck with it, I see the message when its booting something about optimus to do with nvidia but it doesnt do anything
Re: ASUS Zen AIO all in one and nvidia
I think with optimus your best bet is to try to configure it to use Intel.
The next Hardware I need to by is a laptop with optimus to fix that issue on GhostBSD.
