Window Key in mate

Post by Smith_oo4 »

In mate on ghostbsd what is the best way to get the functionality of being able to press the window key and be able to search for the application you want to start. Similar to what is in Windows 7 and Gnome?

Thank you

I am not sure if it is what you want Alt+F2.

Not quite. The muscle memory of window key and type has become so ingrained in me I can’t seem to function in a desktop without it any more.

I have tried to map the ALT-F2 function to the window key but I can’t seem to get this to work and as the cardapio menu in mate is not available in Ghostbsd I am just seeing if anyone has any other option.

But thank you for your response
