The next Hardware I need to by is a laptop with optimus to fix that issue on GhostBSD.
I have an ASUS laptop (K95V) here, which also uses Optimus. I can offer to try out things for you there or to get some data off to another machine for my wife to use and then keep that ASUS running a few days, giving you SSH access, if that helps. It's certainly not as good as having hardware in front of you and being able to actually launch X, but to look if you can get "Xorg -configure" to actually accept nVidia it might suffice (and you wouldn't have to buy hardware for this). I'm going to continue using that laptop for a while to come, so I'd quickly notice if future updates break Optimus.
