Apache2.4 server Vhost

Post by dhenzler »

Both Solaris and Linux have migrated to a more modern VHOST configuration. Instead of one Vhost file, they are separate files, and are easier to manage. Please consider going to this type of Apache2.4 system. As well when turning on openssl. Linux Mint uses a command line a2sslenable type command. There are additional a2 commands. Perhaps included with that type of Apache2.4 server. For the sake of sanity and uniform configuration... please move to this.

I struggled getting openssl operating as BSD requires these sysrc commands to enable various software. Not so in other OS's. It's so completely foreign and poorly documented that coming to BSD from another OS is extreemly difficult. Most would probably give up. However I had a mission to try BSD with ZFS file system to evaluate transfer rate differences on the same network for ZFS compared to BTRFS under Mint 18.2

The tests have not yet begun.

Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance
