Have 2 Desktop environments in 'launcher'. MATE & awesome wm,MATE being default. MATE is great.Use often but do like keyboard orientated wm,too.
Software Station indicates awesome installed. 'which awesome' in terminal outputs '/usr/local/bin/awesome'. This is what outputs from;
❯ awesome --version
fish: Job 1, 'awesome --version' terminated by signal SIGSEGV (Address boundary error)
awesome wm fails to launch,now. 'rc.lua' config file still there.Has awesome been 'let go' from freebsd? If so,i'm sure there is good reason for that.Not really huge deal to me. MATE works great.

You might want to try "sudo pkg upgrade -f". I know some people had a problem with some software upgrading correctly.
