Touchpad on HP Elitebook 8460p

Hi, all,

Hey, my system is running great and I'm now 100% GhostBSD 10.3. However, the silly mousepad is driving me crazy. Constantly when I use the keyboard I get mouse clicks from the pad, plus it's super slow, rendering it mostly useless.

Is there a xorg.conf for a similar machine out there?

I installed gsynaptics, which promises to solve all my problems but get this error:

Code: Select all
GSynaptics couldn't initialize.
You have to set 'SHMConfig' 'true' in xorg.conf or XF86Config to use GSynaptics

I tried doing this with /etc/X11/xorg.conf but the login manager wouldn't start.

If you could provide advice on how to add that to which config where, it would probably solve this issue.

Thanks,
ward
