Background noise in speakers

Postby chris35 » Mon Aug 28, 2017 10:44 am

Hello !
i have a constant background noise in speakers, sounds, musics etc works fine but always a "buuzzz" in speakers.
Notice i never had that noise under linux, on lot of installations of archlinux or others.
Already reinstalled it, but always same noise :(
I Tested to disable HDMI on bios but it changes nothing.

Are you using a desktop? If so try installing a compatible sound card. Or try installing TrueOS or FreeBSD and see if the noise goes away.

Hi Neville ! Im using a asrock deskimini 110, but i return to my archlinux... too many bugs for a working workstation. Chromium often bugs, strange fonts on firefox, too many manipulations needed for external disks and now this speakers noise ... not good 3d acceleration ... dont have enough time to debug all as i need.

Excellent synthesis about what is wrong about desktop support and while GhostBSD is a step ahead over FreeBSD, it is clear that there is a big lack of support upstream.

Thanks for trying, and best of luck!

No worries!

And hey, thanks for the feedback.

Remember BSDs are getting better everyday.
