I was a PC-BSD user but find TrueOS frustrating so I am giving GhostBSD a try.
Everything so far just seems to work Flashplayer installed and worked , sound worked even on Firefox, HPLIP found and installed my printer and nvidia installed and configured most impressed.
I have read "My Post-installation Configuration" especially the pf firewall part.
Is pf firewall already installed or does it need installing?

Re: is pf firewall installed in GhostBSD
pf is not included with the stock install, look at fwbuilder in octopackage.
Vas you efer in Zinzinnati? Asus F1A75-M, AMD A8-3870 APU, 6 GB DDR3/120 GB SSD, GeForce 210, missing front drive panel just like its owner.

There are plenty of webs and some books about how to configure PF and it's my firewall of choice.
You could start with:
https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/firewalls-pf.html
