GhostBSD on XFS or ext? / AMD apu? / wifi? / UEFI?

To me the fault in BSD is that there is a lack of adaptability in filesystem support.
Would it be impossible to build a BSD to run on other filesystems? XFS, ext4, Reiser4.....

Also I am surprised that UEFI support is not apparent.
I want a "kernel" to suffix with efi and place in EFI partition to boot with "rEFInd"

I have an AMD/Radeon kaveri apu and the the GhostBSD wont do anything.

There are also problems with wifi... so no logging in for me.
ie. I am tethered with dongle to my phone. A pretty standard dongle etc...

I will have to do some research into "kernel" building.

Would anyone like to take me up on the filesystem support?

GhostBSD only install with UFS and ZFS it is not Linux it is BSD. In the new 10.3 ALPHA2 we have release UEFI version to test and make sure that we find bug? For some reason I have not see your first post.
For AMD APU it should work, but I have no idea, I have no APU to test on. For the the wifi 10.3 have seen lot of fix on the Network Manager.

The sooner you give up grub and replace with rEFInd the quicker your distro will port.
Using win32diskimager from 2014. NOT RUFUS or other usb utils i have command prompt.
I have downed the BETA BUT VBOX bringing in vesa so no RADEON so X, Xorg wont start.
Still the ugly mono font and no readily available list of commands for novice???
This is the only BSD distro to instantly put user on desktop where they can start deciphering some of the cryptic commands.

Your firmware needs updating.
kfreebsd_module_elf /boot/kernel/***
Is KMS necessary?
either way for me there is no 'radeonkmsfw_KAVERII***'

OK -- havent tried the recent one but here is my update
...And I wont until you get rid of drm2 ....
the now defunct freebsd aka linux-3.18 method of getting to X

OpenBSD works ,,,, monolithic kernel X windows Xfce4 / kde4
DragonFlyBSD works, sort of, xfce4 still jittery on fonts ... but efi converged with freebsd
FreeBSD does not work ... as above

When i say work i mean X windows Xorg ... etc

So eric please post details of kernel source and details / for me the kaveri kms amd bootcode fb swap to gfx...?

Thanx.

There is no support for your APU graphics in FreeBSD/GhostBSD, nor in 10.x, nor in 11.x.
You may want to to stick with OpenBSD/DragonFly, or try TrueOS which is based on 12-CURRENT.
