GhostBSD 11.1 RC1 first step

I installed GhostBSD 11.1 RC1 on virtualbox today. All went fine so far.
I have a small issue with Firefox.
I started Firefox and started a search. I got a list from google. If I scroll down the list all goes well. And If I go back to the beginning (scroll up) the page changes back to the starting screen of Firefox.
Or if I open a music video on youtube for example and scroll the screen down the music plays onward. If I scroll back the music starts from the beginning again.
I think this is a strange behavior.

hi and welcome!

How do you "go back" ? scrolling back an forth work for me, using PgUp/PgDown, arrow keys, and/or mouse wheel ...

I scroll forward and backward with the mouse wheel. If I scroll backward the page jumps from the result page to the start page.

Yeah, it is an issue that has been on for over a year now. I have no idea what is causing that.

If I open the window of "system settings" and use the mouse wheel I can scroll only down.
Keyboard: "picture up" and "picture down" does not work. I have to use the bar on the right hand side.

hmm ... so you have this issue, and I don't.

One thing to look at: I have disabled moused service in my rc.conf, try the same and see it if help. ;)

follow up: :D

i had a little chat with ericbsd, and it turned out that the scroll mismanagement is caused by moused service, we also discussed shortly about the needs about moused, and it is required by at least some type of trackpads (but not all), e.g. "synaptics" trackpad require moused.

I understand. Because the same issue occurs with TrueOS on Virtualbox.
