I tried several times to boot from usb after having reburned the stick on both Windows and Linux, but still the same issue --> freeze.
Even if I wait 1 hour, nothing.

Pour info, j'ai essayé avec GhostBSD MATE 10.1 RELEASE en 64 bits, idem --> ça freeze après l'apparition du fond d'écran (feuilles vertes).
Avec GhostBSD XFCE 10.1 RELEASE en 32 bits, ça ne freeze pas mais ça s'arrête, tout simplement, sur un fond noir.
J'ai même essayé GhostBSD 4.0 Release Karine en 64 bits : freeze.

Messieurs bonjour,

despit the fact that my previous posts were a little bit pessimist, I did continue to try installing GhostBSD. It didn't work well and continue to freeze each time.
Then, I 've download FreeBSD 10.2 and install it with Mate desktop, and everything was done successfuly. after what I delete once again the partition, create an usb stick with the amd64 version of GhostBSD "dd if=./Ghostbsd-10.1-mate of=/dev/sdb bs=64k conv=sync" under Debian PointLinux ( my other desktop distrib).

after boot, the system is frozen , as described in previous posts ( Christophe , me ... ) . after a few minute , I was enabled to disabled the sleeping status in the power management , and after open a terminal, stop things that I don't need (vbox ) . then after some freezes again , I was enable to config and connect the wifi. putting the system in french was easy but took time because of some freesing states again, then I clicked on the install icon.

after setting up name,root pass, locales etc. , the installation took about 9 hours, I had to awake sometime the laptop ( Dell vostro 1500 , Intel core i2. 1,4 ghz and 2 go mem.) to allow the install to continue.

I'm very, very proud and happy to post this description from my new Ghostbsd desktop. Everything seems to work well , no freeze at all, nevertheless the boot takes some times, more than Freebsd 10.2, even after modify the boot sequence ( disable beastie and so on ).

Curiously , after using bsdconfig to update console locale, user's group and thing's like that, and after adding fr to gdm_lang to rc.conf, GDM still in english.
Mate Desktop is localized in french , means every dialog box or terminal are in french , keyboard layout is ok , but application's menu and desktop's menu are in english.

A very pleasant surprise with GhostBSD MATE 10.3 ALPHA1 last night !
I was able to install it (no freeze).
Of course, not everything is perfect but it works.
There are still some small details to work : MATE to be translated into French, no user folders (even after downloading xdg-user-dirs), US keyboard at login instead of the French one, no sound ...
But all that seems on track.
Now I look forward the Xfce version...

I think I fix locale I still need to text it, but if it is fix next release should be french available.
