Cannot boot to live

Postby leegold » Sun Jan 21, 2018 6:42 pm

Is there something I should know or didn't do right? I put the iso on a USB thumb drives and tried the "live". It gets to the login and puts the word "ghostbsd " in the login field. I press enter and then it says it cannot log in. Used latest version as of now. I can give more info if you tell me what you need. Thanks.

Re: Cannot boot to live

Postby leegold » Mon Feb 05, 2018 5:57 pm

Hello,

Could someone help?

During the live boot I see:

"Failed to execute login command"

I get the desktop but I cannot login, the login username "ghostbsd" is in the login field but pressing return again gives message "Failed to execute login command".

So I get a spash or ive desktop but I cannot login...GhostBsd cannot login.

Could someone help please?

The problem is I used Rufus to make the bootable drive. I read it won't work with Ghostbsd.

I always use dd for writing a USB stick, but if you are Windows I recommend win32 it has always worked for me, I never used Rufus so I can't say that would be the problem. I know that you are not the first to reports this issue I do not know if the other has used, Rufus.
