No. Last week I tried a download and install (make install) the GIMP port. After 1 h of running it seemed as if the installation has hanged up. Maybe I did something wrong.
Give it a try and say if you got luck.

I have to recompile a whole ports tree that might take few days since the new FreeBSD flavored ports I have a problem with the package repository.
