I have GhostBSD 10.1 up to date, the latest Firefox, and have installed swfdec and swfdec plugin. Firefox shows Flash is the latest available. When i try to play the online game Evony, the buttons appear just as they should but clicking on Play produces no result so that i am not able to enter the game. Am i missing something? Any help most appreciated!

flash and evony?
Re: flash and evony?
I would command you to install The Linux Flash. http://wiki.ghostbsd.org/index.php?titl ... ash_Plugin You will need install the ports with portsnap.
Re: flash and evony?
Thank you so much! I can now play evony on my ghostbsd.
Now some questions for everyone out there, if i may...
I really thought i had installed the ports collection when i installed bsd, but apparently i had not done so. I had to do so first, as you said. When we install the OS and elect to install the ports collection, does this not do so?
Secondly, i keep hearing that bsd is everything linux should have been, but it appears i have to port linux in order to have key software. Why is this? Aren't enough people writing bsd programs?
Finally, is there a way i can use the ports to make focuswriter work on bsd?
Again, many thanks!

FreeBSD have Linux compatibly layer of software that can be port to FreeBSD, but most of that ports have native support for FreeBSD most of the Linux software that use BSD Linux emulator start with linux like linux-firefox.Secondly, i keep hearing that bsd is everything linux should have been, but it appears i have to port linux in order to have key software.
