Hi, Welcome to GhostBSD! Thanks for the post. I'm glad GhostBSD is running well for you. I don't understand why GhostBSD didn't work on your SSD. I have GhostBSD running perfectly on 2 laptops, one with an M2 ssd and a sata connection SSD. Perhaps there are some things in the BIOS you need to change...

Do you have the appropriate module loaded?
Try in a terminal as root
kldload acpi_ibm
If that doesn't work try
kldload acpi_video
And see if that helps
